Infrastructure Changes
In the latest version, I have some infrastructure changes that won't impact gameplay in the slightest!
So why devlog about it?
These changes caused me to reconsider OTHER things in the game, which will play out in the next few updates.
For example:
Currently there are two types of "thing" you can do: Verbs and Crafting.
There are "qualification" for the different verb types that are very particular to the type of verb you want to do, and effects that happen when you perform the verb.
For crafting, there are recipes, which involve inputs and outputs.
Aren't recipes inputs just qualification, and aren't outputs effects?
They are.
So, if I can make all of the things that are done in the game into "recipes" (tho, need to change the name), and then I can classify these things into larger groups, I can better represent all that can be done in the game.
So, recipes become what verbs are now, and verbs become verb categories.
It'll all make sense later, but the problem that it solves for me is having a single "eat/consume" category instead of two verbs "eat grub" and "eat fish".
So, raising the level of abstraction for the love of freedom!
