And if that is so, it means I have acquired literally no treasure on this journey.
As the jam ends, I did add some exposition regarding the macguffin in the game.
I also refactored some of the dialog/choice/trigger/effect stuff to be more lambdariffic, but refactoring it into a proper shape is beyond the scope now.
Mebbe I'll come back to this game.
What I learned is that... a story heavy game requires a lot of writing.
What I also learned is that I am just not sufficiently motivated to realistically finish the writing and other futzing work necessary to make a complete game of this kind.
I do not regard this as a lacking within myself.
Instead, it is important information that I now have about me.
Making this kind of game... isn't for me.
With this knowledge, I can pursue other types of game, and when I think I might like to make this sort of game again, I can look back onto Improve My Jam #27, and slowly shake my head and stop wasting my time.
