Potion Shoppe and SHIPPIT!


Now that the potion shoppe is in, the game is "done".

And it is time to reflect upon what we have done and seen and learned from making a game in gdscript in Godot.

The current version of gdscript doesn't let me do a lambda.

And apparently I'm a crotchety old person who needs lambdas in a language in order to not chafe a but under this limitation.

I guess that makes me entitled. So get off my lawn.

Also editing gdscript in the godot ide-thingie was obviously not made with my particular way of coding things, which is more code than scenegraph entities, in mind. This is not a detractor from Godot.

Would I use Godot to make another game, even a jam game? No, but it isn't Godot's fault. Except the lambda bit. Get some lambdas, Godot.
