At this point, you can dig for clay.

With a sharp stick.

That you make from a stick with either a knife or an axe.

Which are already complex to make.

And you can craft a camp fire or a furnace.

Can’t place them yet.

Prolly tomorrow.

And then when you can place them, you will be able to fuel them, and fuel will be consumed.

And you’ll be able to use them to cook food, to boil water, to fire clay pots.

And chances are, that’s about as complex as I’ll be able to make this thing by the end.
