When Do You Just Decide to "Get It Out There"?
I've been working on this a while.
Its in VB.NET. Not that it matters. Except that this does, to me.
It started as a Monogame project.
Now it is a terminal app.
And it will REMAIN a terminal app.
Which also matters a lot to me.
And it probably matters to you.
This is not a game for everyone.
And even at this point, the game play is not as compelling as I would like for releasing it.
But what I've learned is to release often.
It is, indeed, a game that you could play, at least for a while.
At the moment, you can wander around the world, finding scrap, selling it at a trading post, refueling and replenishing oxygen on yer ship.
And do that until the world is out of scrap, and yer out of oxygen/fuel.
And then game over.
Compelling enough as a complete game? No.
Compelling enough for early access? Yes.

Wasn't sure what to expect. It's very impressive. How big is the universe it generates?
it feels bigger because of the multiple maps at multiple scales.
the "galaxy" is 63 x 63 and generates stars a with a minimum distance depending on the galactic density of the embark options.
each star system is 31 x 31, and each "planet vicinity" is 15 x 15, and then the planet orbit is 11 x 11.
and hi, John. lovely to see you.
lovely to see you too. I think I need to put up some cheap quickie projects on here too.
Personally, Shelly and I now live near a lake in Tool TX. Maggie is now 22 and works in Fort Worth.
Shelly's a big important engineer for the lake. I remain useless.
