A Game in VB.NET About Yer the Monster and Starting with Nothing

Controls: Arrow keys, Space, Escape (also, Enter and Numeric Keypad). You can use the DPad on a game controller and the A and B buttons as well.

In this game, you play Yer, who is a Monster.

So you are Yer, the Monster.

You start in Yer's lair.

In Yer's lair, moving around will replenish Yer's energy. 

This is the only place where this happens.

As Yer moves around, his satiety goes down. Satiety is just the opposite of hunger. It's a hunger meter. This game is a starvation simulator.

Yer can leave his lair, and enter the swamp.

In the swamp, Yer can pick up mushrooms and fight badgers and snakes.

It's an older meme, but it checks out.

To replenish satiety, Yer can eat the mushrooms.

To replenish health, Yer can eat the flesh of his defeated enemies, the badgers and the snakes.

It seemed more monstrous to have Yer only eat the skin of something. Also, I had not made another graphic besides a skin. Laziness synergy!

So, Yer can rest, Yer can hunt, Yer can gather, and Yer can eat.

Which is quite enough for the simple life of a monster.

Eventually, Yer will run out of resources, and die of starvation.

But such is the brutal life of a monster.
